NodeMCU WiFi-Controlled IoT Smart Car

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, July 2021

A WiFi-controlled smart car built on an ESP8266 WiFi SoC with an L298N motor driver. It uses Embedded C for direction and speed controls through a high-power motor driver (5–35V, 25W). The wireless controls were served over a local network in an Android app built in Kotlin.

Here’s a short demo.
